Smart Terminal for Cold Chain Logistics Warehousing

With the rapid growth of fresh e-commerce, prepared meals, and various food trades, higher demands are placed on cold chain storage and transportation. However, the multi-link, long-chain nature of cold chain logistics makes comprehensive real-time monitoring difficult, often requiring significant manual effort while still failing to provide early warnings for temperature anomalies, route deviations, and other issues. Remote monitoring solutions enable centralized management of distributed cold chain systems and proactive alerting, significantly improving control efficiency and quality assurance capabilities.

Based on the Qiyang RK3588 SoM, an intelligent monitoring terminal can be developed for cold chain logistics warehousing. Combining multi-sensor input, edge AI analytics, and cloud-based management platforms, it enables real-time, accurate, traceable cold chain monitoring, driving intelligent upgrades and efficient management in cold chain logistics.

The SoM's octa-core 64-bit processor (4×Cortex-A76 + 4×Cortex-A55 big.LITTLE architecture) with a maximum frequency of 2.4 GHz provides multi-task parallel processing capability, ensuring the simultaneous stable operation of critical functions including temperature/humidity acquisition, AI analysis, alerting, and data transmission.

The integrated 6 TOPS NPU delivers powerful edge AI computing and multi-sensor data processing, enabling local execution of intelligent analytics such as temperature trend anomaly prediction, door open/close anomaly detection, and equipment energy consumption optimization strategies without cloud dependency. This comprehensively enhances the safety, reliability, and operational efficiency of cold chain warehouse environmental monitoring.

Onboard dual Gigabit Ethernet, plus support for 4G/5G and Wi-Fi modules, enables cloud-collaborative management including report generation, operational log upload, proactive alert push, and centralized multi-device management.

The SoM supports MIPI-DSI, HDMI, eDP, and DP display interfaces for connecting displays with a good human-machine interaction experience. USB 3.0, RS485, RS232, and UART interfaces allow connection to temperature/humidity sensors, GPS/GNSS modules, and other peripherals.

An industrial-grade version of the SoM is optionally available, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and features such as moisture resistance and vibration tolerance, making it suitable for the harsh, high-humidity, low-temperature, and high-vibration environments of cold chain transport.
