Portable Command Terminal

The portable command and dispatch terminal is a network-integrated device that enables image, data, and voice communication with command centers. It facilitates the command and deployment of on-site rescue forces, real-time site monitoring, and ensures effective on-the-ground command and coordination.

The terminal integrates multiple functions including unified communications, audio/video processing, surveillance, instant messaging, GIS, and incident reporting. It enables cross-network communication, multimedia dispatch, and flat management, making it widely applicable in disaster relief, public safety, and similar scenarios.

In complex application environments such as emergency rescue, field operations, and mobile command, stable, efficient, and multi-dimensional communication is critical for decision-making and coordinated response. The Qiyang RK3588 System-on-Module (SoM) is well-suited to meet the requirements of portable command terminals: it features industrial-grade reliability, ensuring long-term stable operation under harsh conditions; it integrates multiple network interfaces to build a multi-layered communication link; and its built-in 6 TOPS NPU enables localized AI processing, reducing cloud dependency and providing high-speed, stable hardware support for real-time decision-making and coordinated dispatch in mobile command scenarios.

The RK3588 SoM supports MIPI-DSI, HDMI, eDP, and DP display interfaces, and enables quad-screen simultaneous or independent display. This allows for separate screens for video surveillance, command and dispatch, and data output, with flexible switching for multi-task parallel processing, meeting the multi-dimensional information visualization needs of portable command terminals.

With its 6 TOPS NPU and support for mainstream AI frameworks, the SoM performs local intelligent data processing. It enables on-device AI analysis of real-time video and image feeds—such as identifying trapped personnel locations or hazard zones—providing intelligent decision support to commanders and enhancing both efficiency and accuracy.

The SoM supports 8K@60fps H.265 hardware decoding, smoothly rendering ultra-high-definition footage from UAVs to capture critical terrain, hazard, and personnel details at the emergency scene, enabling comprehensive situational awareness for more effective and precise rescue operations.

Portable emergency command terminals typically require robust network convergence capabilities. The SoM supports dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and can interface with external 4G/5G and Wi-Fi modules, automatically selecting or combining optimal network connections based on environmental conditions to ensure reliable communications.

A rich set of onboard interfaces—including MIPI-CSI, USB, PCIe, GPIO, UART, and audio I/O—allows integration with cameras, audio peripherals, and other field control devices, ensuring coordinated operation of multiple on-site systems.

The SoM employs industrial-grade electronic components, operating reliably across a -40°C to +85°C temperature range, offering sufficient environmental tolerance for a variety of challenging outdoor conditions.
