Intelligent Waste Sorting Station

With the acceleration of urbanization and the increasing prominence of environmental issues, public awareness of environmental protection is rising, and waste sorting has become an important topic for societal development. To effectively address the challenges of waste classification and management, intelligent waste sorting stations have emerged.

These stations integrate advanced smart technologies, combining sensors, artificial intelligence, and Internet connectivity to enable automated waste sorting and management. Through intelligent recognition systems, they can accurately identify and categorize different types of waste, improving both the accuracy and efficiency of waste sorting.

The Qiyang RK3576 core module features powerful processing performance and AI capabilities, fully supporting the application of AI vision and big data models in waste recognition. It can intelligently identify waste types and control the corresponding bin doors to guide correct disposal behavior. With a wide range of onboard interfaces, it can connect to cameras, ID card readers, and various sensors, facilitating user identification and supervision of sorting activities.

The RK3576 core module integrates 4×Cortex-A72 and 4×Cortex-A53 cores, with a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz, enabling simultaneous processing of data from multiple sensors, such as weight sensors, overflow sensors, and proximity sensors, providing comprehensive information for classification decisions. Equipped with a 6 TOPS NPU, it supports the execution of complex AI models for image and audio recognition. By extracting features of waste items, it can perform automatic identification and classification, guiding correct disposal behavior.

The intelligent waste sorting station is equipped with a smart touchscreen display. The Qiyang RK3576 core module supports multiple display interfaces, including MIPI DSI, eDP, and HDMI, as well as an I2C capacitive touch interface, providing a user-friendly human-machine interaction experience.

The board features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and supports external Wi-Fi and 5G modules, providing high-speed network connectivity and flexible deployment options. It enables the upload of sensor data (such as environmental parameters and bin overflow status), image and video data (such as behavior monitoring and waste type recognition), and transaction data (such as points redemption) to a cloud management platform, allowing remote monitoring of device operation.

The core module provides a wide range of interfaces, including MIPI-CSI, I2C, CAN, USB, and UART, enabling connection and control of various peripherals such as cameras, sensors, and motors.
